Happy Friday ya’ll! I’m so dang excited to share this wedding with you. Travis and Melissa are some of the most genuine and kind people I’ve ever met. They had an incredible wedding that they each fully enjoyed. There was this ease about the day because the thing they were focused on was becoming each others’ forever – not the stress and pressure of the wedding day. It was truly such a joy to be a part of it. This is a long blog, but I just had such a hard time leaving things out!
This wedding was at The Luminaire in Montgomery, TX which is such a gorgeous venue. It’s one of my favorites to shoot at. 💛
I loved these matching bridesmaid pajama sets and how Melissa’s was a white and black striped. They girls all looked so comfy and cute! Also the matching flip flops – yes please!
Can we take a moment and appreciate AH Specialties and her team!? They did such an incredible job on hair name makeup for all of these ladies.
The bride gave her mom and dad these custom handkerchiefs as their presents for the day with the sweetest messages on them. I love the way she loved her parents.
A dad reveal is one of my favorite moments at any wedding. It’s such an emotional moment for the bride’s dad to see her for the first time. This is when the tears started flowing for Melissa – so sweet!!
Travis and Melissa opted for a first look for their day. As we were getting it ready, Melissa was certain she wouldn’t cry, that she was just excited to see him! She was right, it was just pure joy!
I love this all white bouquet from Bramble and Bee. If it’s not done right, all white bouquets and be a bit boring in my opinion, but with all the texture and depth in flower choices and greens, these flowers were stunning!
I loved the choice of black bridesmaid dresses. The Luminaire has a dark exterior as you can see here and I think it’s such a classy, elegant venue. Black bridesmaid dresses definitely match the feel of this venue. Not to mention – what girl doesn’t love wearing a good black dress!?
These big arrangements on pedestals was the perfect compliment to the cross here. I think the lines in the windows can sometimes go against the floral decor in this chapel, but this setup was perfect!
Ok this guestbook idea was so unique! They had guests sign a custom record with metallic sharpies, how awesome is that!? I can imagine them framing it to display in their home. Love the idea of being able to display wedding mementos on the walls of your home as sweet reminders of your day!
Dad’s speech was a good one. So many laughs!
Ok – I have to take a second and talk about these DJs! They are PRP Entertainment and man they put on a show! At the beginning of the reception they did this whole thing where they had the bride and groom’s moms and then dads and then the bridesmaids followed by the groomsmen – it was a show! They also had a choreographed dance they did, it was SO good. The bride loved to dance and dance she did. It was a super fun night.
I’m always a fan of a boxwood wall with a custom neon sign on it! Aren’t they the cutest!?
I am so happy for this couple. It was truly an honor to be a part of their day. Hope ya’ll enjoyed these!!
