Oh gosh, I love shooting proposals and Abigail and Brian’s was so special. Brian contacted me about a month before he was going to pop the question to book me! We met up at Hughes Landing in The Woodlands where he’d already scoped out a few spots, along with his sweet mom. I loved his level of preparedness and excitement! We talked through lighting and developed the plan that would unfold in just a few short weeks. My assistant and I were going to wait on a bench and once they passed us, we’d wait a tiny bit and follow behind them. Then when we got to the spot I’d swing into the grass and start snapping away.
On the day of, we got up a little bit after they passed us and when they were almost to the spot, Abigail told Brian, “I think these people are following us.” 🤣 He distracted her to look across the water and dropped to a knee while she was turned away while I sprinted into place! In the meantime, their families and sweet pup were hiding in the bushes behind me watching the entire thing. After the proposal we took some portraits and then headed off to their party at Whiskey Cake. Such a sweet day!
