This proposal was such a bright spot in the craziest year ever. When Emily, one of the owners at Forever 5 told me about this, I was filled with anticipation. She devised a plan with Chase to have everything setup when they arrived. I was hiding in the bushes when they got there and Jenilyn had no idea what was about to unfold. As they walked down the pathway towards the lake, I took a few photos — she looked in my direction and spotted me and said, “Chase, what did you do? What did YOU DO?!” as they continued walking towards the gazebo.
They arrived at the dock and he pulled the ring out of his pocket and got down on one knee. Seeing the excitement on her face was the best. She had no idea, was completely surprised and totally overwhelmed with joy! Afterwards Chase was gushing with adoration towards her and wanted to tell me how wonderful she was. He spoke of how the two of them were meant to be and how she means the world to him.
These moments – they’re what puts the thrill into this job. They’re sacred moments and my goodness I’m thankful to witness them. <3
