Well hey there! It’s been a minute since I’ve blogged a wedding. Sometimes during busy season, things get left undone. I don’t always get to blogging every wedding, but I sure do try! This wedding at Selah Springs in Brady, TX was a blessing to be a part of. I love destination weddings because I get a lot of time with the couple and their closest friends and family and by the end of the weekend, I feel like a part of the group. I have such a passion for photography but my real passion in life is creating relationships with people and serving them well. Clay and Caroline are such an easy going, down to earth couple. They share a sweet love for one another and their day definitely reflected that. I’m going to share some of my favorite parts of their wedding with you!
For starters – oh my gosh her dress was stunning. I also really loved their wedding rings too.
I started the day out photographing the boys skeet shooting on property. Selah Springs is really neat because you can have the wedding there but they also have lodging on site as well. So you can really make a weekend of it!
Then, later in the day it was time to get ready for the wedding! All these cowboys in their hats drinking whiskey, wearing their boots — Texas all the way!
Caroline chose to have several different colors of bridesmaid dresses as well as styles and I thought that was pretty cool! Everyone looked so pretty!!
I thought this was a cool sign-in idea. It’s a solid piece of wood to be framed later with their last name, date and everyones well wishes. Loved it!
This riverside ceremony is what dreams are made of. The Texas Hill Country is so gorgeous and this property had the most perfect riverbed for a wedding ceremony. It was quite a hike down cobblestone steps to get down there, but totally worth it. See steps in the next photos 😆 They were both tearing up as she walked down the aisle. I’d say this is one of my very favorite parts of their day.
Ok, let’s talk about this brand! How cool is it that they had a custom brand made and during the ceremony instead of a unity candle they branded a framed piece of cow hide. Such a unique idea!
I took their engagement photos out on this property and this was theirs and my favorite location. It’s behind the casita where the girls got ready and the view is just breathtaking. Add in the sun backlighting them and some cactus – it was a dream!
