I feel like the dust of my busy spring/summer season has finally settled and now I’ve got a month or so to revisit a few of the weddings that I didn’t get time to blog. This particular wedding was the first of a run of 10 or so weddings in a row so blogging it just got left undone. I really want to share the images with you though because it was a gorgeous day…well it was really rainy but everything turned out perfectly anyways.
Kevin and Erin tied the knot at Balmorhea on the first Saturday of March. They had planned to use the arch that Kevin made for an outside ceremony but the weather had other plans. Rachel with Wed & Prosper had to get creative to make the arch work inside, but her and Felicia totally pulled it off! Urban Rubbish did a fantastic job with the florals and everything turned out beautifully. We were able to get some outside photos before the rain started and then took more on the back porch when it started to sprinkle on us! That’s one thing I love about Balmorhea is that even if it does rain, you can still snap a few photos outside on either side of their reception hall, they have great overhangs and porches. I’m so glad these two opted for a first look or they wouldn’t have had any outdoor photos, it was so stormy that it was pretty much dark outside during their ceremony! Things don’t always go as planned on wedding day, but that’s why you hire a planner who has it all under control. Hope you guys enjoy these images!
